Today is 8 Eagle

While the Ki’che’ and most other Guatemalan Maya consider 8 Batz (Monkey or Thread) to be the first day of the 260-day sacred calendar, the Tzutujil Maya around Lake Atitlan celebrate it on 8 Tzikin (Men in Yucatecan Maya). Their name in the Popul Vuh was Birdhouse People, so they are more closely aligned with the eagle.

Eagle days are excellent for business, for flying high to reach new levels, and for using one’s vision to see the big picture, from a spiritual or material perspective.</
